Overview

Why this route?

Just going to see a match takes one day — but to really bring Haaland home you need three narratives running at once: the hometown football starting line, the hardcore lifestyle that built the 'Jæren bull', and the southwestern Norwegian nature and history that shaped the Viking soul.

We anchor the base at Hotell Jæren (official co-founder of the Haaland Safari and home of the dedicated 'Haaland Suite'), from where we radiate out to the Bryne home-town resources and the world-class Lysefjord hikes, then push north to Haugesund — the real cradle of the Viking kings — and close with the classic Norway-in-a-Nutshell fjord railway.

Every asset here can be split into a 3.5-hour cruise-passenger fast line, a youth football study tour, or a 14-day luxury tailor-made trip — this page shows the fullest 14-day version.

Pilgrimage · Bryne

Pilgrimage assets: Haaland's football starting line

All concentrated in the small town of Bryne — 30 minutes by train from Stavanger — these are the irreplaceable core assets of the entire itinerary.

  1. 01

Bryne FK stadium & dressing room

Private access to the main pitch and dressing room, with a club-led narrative of Haaland's professional debut here at 15. The club still runs on pure Norwegian community-football culture — the man-of-the-match prize has historically been 450 kg of carrots, 10 litres of milk or a live sheep, which makes for great storytelling.

  2. 02

    Jærhallen · Drylaveggen training wall

Inside the indoor arena — the custom wooden juggling / passing wall that Haaland drilled against as a kid. We run interactive PK challenges and hand out a signed 'Train like Haaland' certificate — a favourite immersive stop for family and academy groups.

  3. 03

    Two giant street murals

The signature Haaland meditation-celebration mural by Norwegian street-art icon Pøbel in the town centre, plus Anette Moi's companion piece — the group's mandatory photo stops.

  4. 04

Bryne public library · a modern Viking saga

A high-culture hidden gem: Haaland spent roughly £100,000 to acquire the 1594 first edition of Heimskringla (the saga of the Norwegian kings) and donated it to his hometown library for public display. A perfect stage to tell the 'modern Viking saga' story.

  5. 05

Alf Ingve Berntsen · the mentor's philosophy

Working with Bryne FK's youth setup and Haaland's own mentor Alf Ingve Berntsen, we can arrange a short meet-and-greet and 'happy football' teaching demo (2-month advance booking required).

Town walking loop

From the train station → murals → library → Bryne FK stadium → Jærhallen: a 90-minute walking loop that strings all the core stops together — and the base itinerary for the cruise-passenger fast line.

Lifestyle · Potion & Food

Haaland's hardcore lifestyle: the potion & the food

What turns a small-town boy from Bryne into a 'Jæren bull'? A very specific Nordic recipe of raw milk, high-protein farm food, cold-water plunges and Viking discipline — all of which we can put on the menu.

Jerseymeieriet · the 'potion' dairy

A small Jæren dairy whose unpasteurised-style Jersey milk Haaland grew up drinking. Tasting flight of milk, butter and brown cheese — the closest thing to a real Haaland 'potion'.

Hole Gard farm visit

A working Jæren family farm — meet the cows, taste hand-churned butter and cured lamb, and hear how the region's grass-fed livestock underpins the local diet.

Wen Hua House · his childhood Chinese restaurant

Haaland's favourite childhood restaurant in Bryne. A private table with a Sichuan-style set menu — an obligatory pilgrimage lunch and a wildly photogenic story point.

Pylsebuå te Håland · the family Farse

The Haaland-family named local hot-dog & Farse stall — an oversized traditional meat patty made from a family recipe. Comfort food, party trick and souvenir photo, all in one bite.

Viking protein day

Reindeer, cod, mackerel, dark rye and skyr — a curated dinner in Stavanger built around the high-protein, low-processed Nordic staples the Haaland household lives on.

Cold plunge + sauna recovery

The rhythm behind every serious Norwegian athlete: North Sea cold plunge followed by a wood-fired seaside sauna. Add an optional guided breathwork session for full 'Viking mode'.

Themed Stays · Where the Group Sleeps

Four beds, four chapters of the Haaland story

Accommodation is part of the story, not a footnote. Each night is chosen to match the day's chapter — hometown intimacy in Bryne, athlete-grade comfort in Stavanger, fjord silence in the west and a design-hotel finale in Oslo.

Bryne · The hometown

Jæren Hotell · sleep inside the pilgrimage

A quiet, family-run hotel a five-minute walk from Bryne FK's stadium and the Pøbel mural. Wake up in Haaland's actual hometown and step straight into the walking loop.

Stavanger · Team base

Clarion Hotel Energy · athlete-grade base camp

A modern harbourside hotel with a serious gym, sauna and high-protein breakfast — the kind of base a Nordic pro squad would actually check into between fixtures.

Geiranger · Fjord retreat

Hotel Union Geiranger · fjord-silence recovery

A grand mountain hotel over the UNESCO Geirangerfjord with heated indoor/outdoor pools and spa. The scheduled 'off-day' between city chapters — deep sleep, deep breathing, deep water.

Oslo · Design finale

The Thief · design-hotel closing night

A five-star waterfront design hotel on Tjuvholmen with a curated contemporary art collection and skyline spa — a fitting last night before the flight home, and a great room for the farewell dinner.

Natural Extensions · Beyond the 14 Days

Where the Haaland trip naturally extends

Most groups arrive with a football mission and leave curious about the wider Nordics. These four extensions plug cleanly onto the front or back of the 14-day core — same DMC, same private-guide standard, no re-briefing.

Lofoten & Northern Lights+3 days · Above the Arctic Circle

Lofoten & Northern Lights

Fly north to Lofoten's granite peaks and red-cabin fishing villages for aurora chasing, Arctic surf and a night in a rorbu on the water. The natural 'reward chapter' after two intense football weeks.

Bergen, Flåm & Nærøyfjord+2 days · West-coast deep dive

Bergen, Flåm & Nærøyfjord

Extend the fjord chapter with the Bergen Railway, Flåm's mountain train and a private RIB into UNESCO Nærøyfjord — Norway's most scenic 48 hours, slotted right after Geiranger.

Stockholm archipelago & design+3 days · Sister capital

Stockholm archipelago & design

Cross into Sweden for Stockholm's old town, Vasa Museum, an archipelago sail and Scandi design district — a natural pre- or post-trip city if the group is already flying via Arlanda.

Copenhagen · Parken & New Nordic+2 days · Football + design

Copenhagen · Parken & New Nordic

Add a Copenhagen bookend: FCK's Parken stadium tour, Nyhavn, Louisiana Museum and one New Nordic tasting menu. Ideal for groups combining football pilgrimage with a European city break.

FAQ · Before You Book

Common questions about the Haaland Nordic itinerary

The questions we get most often from Chinese and Asian partners, football academies and private clients. Anything missing — ask us directly, we reply within one business day.

When is the best time to run this itinerary?
Late May to early September is optimal: Eliteserien is in full swing, fjords are open, and Nordic summer light stretches to 11pm. We also run a 'winter edition' in January–February combining Bryne pilgrimage with Lofoten Northern Lights.
Can you guarantee a Haaland or Bryne FK match ticket?
For Bryne FK home matches we secure tickets as long as we lock the departure date 6+ weeks in advance. Haaland playing for Manchester City or Norway is subject to the official fixture calendar — we track it and align the itinerary window when possible, but never over-promise.
How do you organise the youth academy friendlies?
We partner directly with Rogaland-region clubs (Bryne, Sandnes Ulf, Viking youth sides) and match opponents to your squad's age and level. Every friendly includes a Norwegian FA-licensed referee, medical cover, and a post-match coach exchange.
What languages do your guides speak?
All lead guides are English-speaking. On Chinese-market departures we add a Mandarin-speaking tour leader from our Stockholm office. Japanese, Korean and Cantonese support available on request for private groups.
What group size do you accept?
Private tailor-made: 2–8 travellers. Fan small-group: 10–20. Academy study tour: 15–25 players plus coaches and parents. Larger MICE groups (up to 120) handled by our incentive team with adjusted logistics.
How does booking and payment work?
20% deposit to confirm the departure, balance due 45 days before arrival. We invoice in EUR from our Swedish entity (Easy Tour Nordic AB), accept bank transfer and corporate card, and issue a formal VAT invoice for B2B partners.
